Championship newcomers Burnley have been very busy in the transfer market this summer and it doesn’t look like their business is ending anytime soon, with the Clarets now showing an interest in VfB Stuggart’s Darko Churlinov.

The 22-year-old spent the previous season on loan at Schalke, where he managed three goals and six assists from 24 matches in all competitions. He mainly operated as a right wing-back, but was also used on both wings and as an attacking midfielder on a few occasions.

Churlinov has now returned to his parent club Stuggart after Schalke decided against the £3m buy option they had.

Now according to German outlet Bild, Championship side Burnley have entered the picture in signing Churlinov this summer. It is claimed that Vincent Kompany’s side have already ‘sounded out’ a potential deal for the North Macedonian with the German side.

It is believed this deal could move pretty quick should Stuggart agree to let the 22-year-old leave. As the price tag isn’t believed to be an issue and Churlinov himself is said to be keen on the move.

If Burnley were to act on their interest and try and sign the versatile player, it is reported that they wouldn’t be able to take him for less than £3m. The German club are ruling out another loan deal, with the report explaining that they will not negotiate for anything less than £5m.
